 EMF Yamaha

Yamaha does not yet have an electric motorcycle in its range, the firm with the three tuning forks does not intend to stay behind. Initiatives in the field are multiplying with in particular the hyper-EV, the development of batteries in common with Honda, KTM and Piaggio or even the upcoming release of the E01. And in the meantime, a little over two years after launching the EC-05 in partnership with the Taiwanese company Gogoro, the Iwata manufacturer presents a new electric scooter for this market with the EMF. A scooter which will arrive in Taiwan next March and which – like the EC-05 – has a removable battery that can be exchanged at any time for another 100% charged battery at one of the 2000 charging stations. recharge of the Gogoro network on the island. A model which unlike the previous one was directly imagined by its local subsidiary and will be manufactured on site. On the technical side, there is a 7.6 kW 10 horsepower engine and an atypical chain transmission, while on the look side, the MT spirit is there. Yamaha also recalls that this type of vehicle is part of its long-term plan to reduce its carbon emissions by 90% by 2050.
