The Tesla Model Y will have two new body colors: here are which ones

 In October 2021, finds in the code of the Tesla mobile application revealed the presence of three new body colors being designed. These potential paid options, on the other hand, would be the prerogative of the European Tesla Model Y, manufactured in the Berlin factory.This little detail changes everything. As Elon Musk, the CEO of the Californian company, has repeated several times, the German Gigafactory will have " the most advanced paint shop in the world, with more colors that will change subtly according to the curves ". However, for the moment, the Berlin site focuses only on the compact electric SUV. He is therefore the only one concerned.

Two colors approaching :

 So far, these hallway noises had gradually faded. Until Mr. Musk put the subject back on the table during a speech at the Gigafactory Berlin, as part of the first deliveries from the factory. On the other hand, it would not be a question of adding three colors to the configurator, but "only" two at first.  The American entrepreneur then confirmed what was already known more or less: " We have to be careful with the total number of colors, but we will design specific colors in this factory ", we learn. And to continue: " We are going to make a very special red, which a lot of people have probably already seen. There will be like 13 coats of paint. We will also have a silver with, perhaps, 8 layers. »

As for his statements that "a lot of people have probably already seen" the special red, Elon Musk is referring here to his personal Tesla Model S, already seen on the Web, which is adorned with a Deep Purple.
