Mercedes-Benz has identified a number of new processes and materials it will introduce into its vehicle lineup as part of its goal to have a CO2-neutral fleet of new passenger cars by 2039, prompting it to use heavily recycled materials in its upcoming models.  

 Markus Schäfer, chief technology officer at Mercedes, said: “Our vision is to turn the entire value chain into a closed loop as possible. Our serial production vehicles already contain a large number of recycled materials, and within the next 10 years, we will increase the share of secondary raw materials in The fleet of new Mercedes-Benz vehicles is coming to an average of 40 percent.”
