Announcing the number of Toyota GR Corolla 2023 cars that will be built

Almost a week after the launch of the sporty version of the Corolla hatchback from the Gazoo Racing division, it was officially announced the number of Toyota GR Corolla 2023 cars that will be built within the first year of entering production. New official details available to us indicate that Toyota will build 8,600 copies of the GR Corolla worldwide for the first year, and this includes the Circuit Edition. Last week, Vice President of Marketing for Toyota, Mike Tripp, told Road & Track that the brand plans to offer a limited number of this model under the “one too few” statement, which in our Arabic language means “one too few.” And now a Toyota spokesperson has told us that 6,600 cars will be built for the US market, with another 2,000 Toyota Corolla GR 2023 cars destined for the rest of the world.

Perhaps that's too many to be made, particularly when compared to being less powerful than the discontinued Ford Focus RS competing. As we mentioned, the Toyota GR Corolla mechanically relies on the famous Toyota G16E-GTS engine, a 3-cylinder 1.6-liter turbo, which produces 300 horsepower (304 European PS PS) and 370 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Ford Focus RS, which came out of the American company's production lines, is mechanically based on a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine that generates 345 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. As a Toyota spokesperson added, "Customers can contact Toyota dealerships around the world to reserve one of their pre-production copies. We know there is a lot of excitement about the GR Corolla and customers are eager to be among the first to own the new sports model." Of the 6,600 copies that will be sold in the US market, 1,500 will include the very special Circuit Edition that features a full specification, which includes special suede seats, large hood air vents, limited-slip differential, and a black-painted outer edge, A large spoiler at the rear, and a roof made of carbon fiber is an exclusive touch on this special edition only.

The rest of the 5,100 copies that will be sold from Toyota GR Corolla 2023 cars in America, which are 5,100 copies, will be the Core version, which will provide most of the upgrades as optional specifications. The GR sports version of the Corolla 2023 mechanically relies on a 3-cylinder 1.6-liter turbo engine that produces 300 horsepower (304 European PS PS) and 370 Nm of torque. The price of the GR Corolla Standard is expected to start at $40,000
