BMW i7 formalized an 8K screen

BMW i7 formalized an 8K screen

After starting its electrification a few years ago with the BMW i3, the German group has continued to strengthen its range with more and more ambition. The BMW iX and the BMW i4 are two models released recently, while the BMW i7 will complete this 100% electric range by attracting the most affluent customers looking for a vehicle with luxury services.

A very traditional look, but a real electric design

Regulars of the Bavarian brand will not be out of place with the arrival of the i7, which retains the majority of the codes of the manufacturer's 7 series. Only a few blue accents hidden here and there will distinguish this electric version from the others: we feel that BMW did not want to break the codes for its high-end clientele.  However, the BMW i7 is indeed an electric vehicle, thought of as such from the start, as evidenced by its technical characteristics. Indeed, with a 101.7 kWh battery and an announced autonomy in the WLTP cycle between 590 and 625 kilometers, it is not a car without ambition, far from it.

Fast charging is announced as capping at 195 kW, enough to recover 170 kilometers of autonomy in about 10 minutes of charging. Two electric motors deliver a combined power of 400 kW (544 horsepower), allowing to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, which will not compete with the most powerful vehicles on the market. But it should still ensure sporty acceleration on demand.
