Honda Civic Type R 2023 sets a world record at Suzuka

Honda Civic Type R 2023 sets a world record at Suzuka

Even before its official unveiling, the new Honda Civic Type R 2023 is already setting records, and this happened when it stormed the Suzuka circuit in Japan. As the attached video in this news shows, the new Japanese hatchback, which relies on the front-wheel drive FWD system, was able to pass the difficult track of the racing circuit in a record time of two minutes and 23.120 seconds. And when comparing the time recorded by the 2023 car with what was achieved by the old Honda of this model, which needed two minutes and 23.993 seconds to accomplish the same task, to be a huge improvement for the Honda Civic Type R 2023, which became faster by nearly one second, which we are excited about achieving Remarkable achievement.

In both cases, the sporty hatchback deluged the 3.6-mile (5.8 km) track, as did France's previous record holder Renault Megane RS Trophy R. It's worth noting that we're accurately talking about a record for a new front-wheel drive car, which hit 143.5 mph (231 km/h) at some point during the hot lap. Oddly enough, Honda obscured the dashboard, likely to prevent prying eyes from opening up some juicy details about the upcoming new car.
