Range Rover Sport gets a facelift for 2023, with hybrid and PHEV variants in the lineup

The brand's most popular vehicle in North America is all beautiful, brand new Land Rover today presented the third generation of its Range Rover Sport 2023. In terms of looks, there is no radical change compared to the previous generation, although the new edition is closer to the aesthetics current brand with a sleek, almost sober appearance. We find once again a sloping roof line, a shell-shaped hood, and three horizontal lines over the entire length of the vehicle that converge towards the rear, in order to justify the Sport designation of course. The challenge of making an SUV that's both sleek and sleek is tough, but Land Rover pulls it off as well as anyone. By the way, the new Range Rover Sport is longer and has a longer wheelbase than before (by three and two inches, respectively), which translates to more rear passenger legroom and a 10 percent of cargo space. For the rest, the model is built on a platform composed of several types of metal, the idea being to increase the rigidity (and this is what was done, by 35%). If the exterior is sporty, yet understated, so is the interior of the new Range Rover Sport. As you'd expect, it's a high-tech space led by a 13.1-inch multimedia screen, to which you can wirelessly connect your AppleCarPlay or Android Auto app as well as Amazon Alexa. The controls for the climate control system are located on the center console, aiming to create a cleaner, more minimalist environment. Music lovers will listen to their favorite tunes through a 29-speaker Meridian audio system, which, incidentally, also delivers enhanced powertrain sounds when Sport mode is engaged. Powertrains Here is the offer for Canada. There are four choices: a first edition (P530), as well as Dynamic S (P400), Dynamic SE (P400) and Dynamic HSE (P440e) versions. The S and SE develop 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, while the HSE PHEV delivers a total output of 434 horsepower and 619 lb-ft of torque. The First Edition sits at the top, generating 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque thanks to its BMW-sourced V8 engine. For Canada, prices start at $101,750 and peak at $133,650. Among the choices, there are therefore mild hybrid and rechargeable hybrid configurations, as well as a twin-turbo V8 option. Note that the V8 is only possible in the First Edition, which will be produced in limited quantities. Also note that Land Rover promises a purely electric version of this generation of the model in 2024. Land Rover says the revised Range Rover Sport, as well as being packed with new technology and sporting a more dynamic look, is now more capable in rough terrain. It can, for example, make its way through water up to 35 inches deep and climb slopes of 45 degrees. The model comes with 21-inch wheels as standard, with 23-inch wheels available as an option. The new 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport can be ordered now.
