The Switch eScrambler electric motorcycle in the approach phase

The Switch eScrambler electric motorcycle in the approach phase

Presented more than two years ago, the eScrambler electric motorcycle from New Zealand brand Switch Motorcycles is now available for pre-booking. A first step before its launch scheduled for 2023. After a first prototype unveiled at the beginning of 2020, Switch Motorcycles' first electric motorcycle has come a long way. Delayed by the global health crisis, the electric two-wheeler is still in the approval phase in New Zealand and Australia, two markets where it will soon be marketed. Before its planned arrival in Europe in the course of 2023, at best, the electric motorcycle should also be sold in the United States. Similar to those of the prototype unveiled two years ago, the technical characteristics of the motorcycle still offer 50 kW of power, or around 70 horsepower and a 13 kWh battery offering 150 kilometers of autonomy (around 4 hours to recharge to 90% ). Weighing 170 kg, the eScrambler is capable of 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, for a maximum speed announced at 160 km/h. A sign that its arrival is getting closer, pre-reservations are now open to be among the first to ride the eScrambler. With the payment of a first deposit of €500 (refundable), it is thus possible to reserve your electric motorcycle. According to the brand, the price is currently set at $11,999. An entry ticket which should logically rise to flirt with €15,000 on the French market
