Maserati GranCabrio 2025, the convertible version of Gran Turismo

Maserati GranCabrio 2025, the convertible version of Gran Turismo

Finally, the convertible version of the Maserati GranTurismo has emerged, to be the star of this news: the Maserati GranCabrio 2025, which will be launched this summer in Trofeo trim.

The latest 2025 convertible is ready to emerge from the shadows, from its closed roof to the sun's rays with its convertible roof in 13.9 seconds. This is the time it takes for the new GranCabrio to remove its fabric roof, and it can be done quickly at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). However, when closing the roof, the process takes precisely 14.1 seconds. While many soft tops on convertibles are available in only two colors, Maserati offers multiple options including blue, dark red, black, and two shades of gray. These are paired with six exterior colors: Nero Assoluto, Blu Modena, Bianco Astro, Grigio Incognito, Grigio Maratea Matte, and metallic green.

The new Maserati convertible comes with a responsive touchscreen, and the driver controls the roof by swiping left or right around the screen. There's also a standard neck heating system for front seat passengers. If things get chilly, it blows warm air directly from the seats at three adjustable speeds. And if you want less air overall, there's an optional wind blocker that can be manually installed behind the front seats. This reduces turbulence for passengers in the front, but it renders the rear seat mechanically useless.

Mechanically, the new Maserati GranCabrio shares the same specifications as its sibling, the 2024 GranTurismo. It derives its power from a 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 gasoline engine with twin turbochargers, producing 542 horsepower (550 PS European) and 650 Newton-meters of torque, mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox.

However, the convertible car's weight is 100 kilograms (220 pounds) heavier than the coupe, which reduces its acceleration and requires it to go from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Its top speed reaches 315 km/h (196 mph), which is 5 km/h less than the maximum speed that the new Maserati GranTurismo can achieve.

The interior design of the newest Maserati convertible is the same as the new GranTurismo, which includes a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen integrated with an 8.8-inch screen dedicated to features like digital climate control. There's also a 12.2-inch instrument cluster screen, and there's no shortage of technology onboard. This includes the Maserati Intelligent Assist multimedia system that uses Android Auto, and the car is also compatible with iPhones through CarPlay. The Maserati Connect system offers all kinds of connected features for home or car, and a wide range of Level 2 driver assistance tools are available.
