The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid has been officially unveiled, boasting impressive horsepower that draws attention to this compact sedan.

The 2025 Civic features some updates, particularly in its front fascia, but the big news lies behind the grille and updated front end. Under the hood, you'll find a new hybrid powertrain available in two trims.

The new Honda Civic Hybrid combines power and fuel efficiency in an even more impressive way. For the 2025 Civic models, Honda is offering two trims:

• Sport Hybrid
• Sport Touring Hybrid

Honda has not detailed the electrified powertrain but says it combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a pair of electric motors, delivering a total system output of 200 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque. This is higher than the output of the new Civic Si. Honda claims this makes the Civic Hybrid the most powerful non-Type-R hybrid Civic ever.

Honda asserts that the electrified Civic is faster than the turbocharged 1.5-liter models, which have officially ceased production except for the Si version. The new hybrid is also expected to achieve a combined EPA rating approaching 50 miles per gallon, or about 17.7 km per liter of gasoline, blending modest performance with impressive economy. By comparison, the most fuel-efficient 2024 Civic Hybrid was rated at 36 miles per gallon, or about 12.7 km per liter.

The latest 2025 Honda hybrids come with four levels of regenerative braking, while the suspension has been specifically tuned to enhance ride quality and reduce noise. Honda claims the hybrids offer the lowest levels of noise, vibration, and harshness among all Civic models.

The updated design was previewed again in January, but now we have a better look at the front of the 2025 Honda Civic. The front bumper features narrower vertical side vents, and the lower grille appears slightly larger. Hybrid models sport body-colored front light assemblies and a lower bumper lip, while all 2025 Civics get darkened taillights at the rear. Inside, hybrid models feature a gray interior design, while the Sport Touring Hybrid trim comes with leather seats, a 12-speaker audio system, and a larger 9-inch infotainment screen with integrated Google for the first time in a Civic model.

The 2025 Honda Civic will arrive at dealerships worldwide starting in June of this year. The hybrid models will be available in both sedan and hatchback versions.
