The Final Bugatti Chiron: A Tribute to Excellence

Bugatti has crafted numerous special editions and one-of-a-kind versions of the Chiron, just as it did with the Veyron before it. Today marks the end of an era as Bugatti unveils the final Chiron, named "L’Ultime." This ultimate supercar pays homage to the late racing driver Louis Chiron and was meticulously hand-assembled at his home in Molsheim, France.

A Legacy Continues

This final Chiron is based on the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and features an exterior color inspired by the first Bugatti Chiron unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The unique hue transitions from French Racing Blue to Atlantic Blue. This two-tone look is adorned with hand-written names of significant events and locations that have defined the eight years since the supercar's launch.

A Nod to History

The last Chiron is embellished with the following inscriptions on its body:

  • Ehra-Lessien: Where it reached a speed of 304 mph.
  • Paul Ricard: Where it was tested.
  • Geneva: Where it made its debut.
  • Chantilly: Where it was frequently showcased.

Bugatti also included inscriptions of "Château Saint Jean" and "Cape Canaveral" to honor places where select customers experienced the Chiron's top speeds. The number "500" is hand-written on the underside of the rear wing, on the wheel covers, in front of the rear tires, and engraved on the 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine cover. To mark its French origins, the French flag is proudly displayed on the side mirrors.

A Masterpiece in Detail

The final Chiron features meticulous detailing and pays homage to its storied past. Its design and performance are a celebration of Bugatti’s engineering prowess and the enduring legacy of Louis Chiron. The blend of history, artistry, and sheer power make "L’Ultime" a fitting end to the Chiron era.

Owner’s Identity: A Mystery

While Bugatti has kept the identity of the owner of the 500th and final Chiron confidential, speculation suggests that it might belong to an American, indicated by the side marker lights.

Conclusion

"L’Ultime" stands as a testament to Bugatti's dedication to craftsmanship, performance, and heritage. It not only marks the end of the Chiron’s production but also celebrates the remarkable journey of one of the world’s most iconic supercars. This final edition encapsulates the essence of Bugatti’s excellence and the indelible mark it has left on the automotive world.
